IMPULSE Consortium

IMPULSE is an industry-led project, with active participation from three international leaders in three different major supply-chain sectors: pharmaceuticals (GSK), fine and specialty chemicals (DEGUSSA) and consumer products (P&G). In addition, four other industrial partners contribute their expertise in novel solvent utilization (SOLVENT), in process innovation (BRITEST), in process design and control (Siemens), and in project management (ARTTIC).

The 7 industrial partners are associated with 11 internationally renowned research institutes from 8 European countries (including 2 new member states) in the areas of chemical engineering, physical chemistry, process innovation, microreaction technology, safety and eco-efficiency. Dissemination activities are coordinated by DECHEMA, and IMPULSE benefits from its status as a CEFIC–SUSTECH consortium for dissemination of its principal results to the more than 40 000 organizations and commercial enterprises of the chemical sector in Europe.
